A Little Effort Goes a Long Way Customers devote time to a survey, Vincotech donates to a worthy cause
Vincotech, long a backer of the children’s charity Plan International, pledged to donate to one of the organization’s initiatives for each response to the company’s 2019 customer satisfaction survey. Given a choice of projects to support, respondents opted for Clean Water for Ghana.
Perhaps you recall us making this pledge? It’s the reason why we’re again supporting this project in 2021.
On behalf of all participants taking part in this year's customer satisfaction survey, Vincotech - as a thank-you for their time and effort - donated €2,500 to help provide access to clean water, educate on disease prevention and build sanitary facilities.
Clean Water for Ghana - what’s next?
Plan aims for around 32,000 people to gain access to clean, affordable water and sanitary facilities as part of this project. To this end, Plan is building 20 new wells and renewing water supply points in schools, communities and health posts.
Plan's efforts to educate community members on the connection between hygiene, sanitation and disease prevention are going with 300 people now taking part in this training.
And Plan is helping to build sanitary facilities to suit local conditions. Around 12,000 children at 36 schools will benefit from new toilets and washrooms.
Milestones achieved so far
Activities from September 2019 - August 2020
- Installed 36 water supply systems
- Conducted refresher courses on sustainable water management for 216 workgroup members
- Installed urinals for 324 households affected by poverty
- 252 schoolchildren and 36 teachers attended hygiene training sessions
- Distributed sanitary napkins to 1,179 girls
