Vincotech, a supplier of module-based solutions for power electronics, is carrying on its Christmas tradition of donating to a good cause in lieu of sending gifts to customers. Plan International Germany is again the company’s partner in philanthropy. The aid organization is to receive a €15,000 grant awarded by Vincotech on behalf of its workforce and customers. It will fund an initiative to support children and families driven from their homes in Ukraine.
War not only puts children in danger of physical harm; it also exposes youngsters to severe emotional distress. These unseen wounds remain long after the fighting stops. Plan International is working with organizations in countries bordering Ukraine to provide relief to children and their families suffering from this conflict. These initiatives in Poland, Romania and Moldova include child protection, mental health, education and advocacy programs, as well as cash and vouchers.
“As the suffering in Ukraine continues, we must spare a thought for the victims of this war. They will not be forgotten during the holiday cheer,” says Vincotech CEO Eckart Seitter. “Besides, this is a personal matter for us at Vincotech. The war may seem distant, but we are connected with the country and its people. Ukrainians have long been valued members of the workforce at our plant in Bicske, Hungary. We do everything we can to support our colleagues, and their compatriots deserve no less. This is why the proceeds of our gaming event at the PCIM expo in May went to Plan International Germany projects to support Ukrainian kids. Now this donation will go to the same worthy cause.”
