Funds go to Plan International Germany to get young Ecuadorians off to a better start
Vincotech, a supplier of module-based solutions for power electronics, has again opted to embrace the seasonal spirit of charity. In lieu of sending gifts to customers, the company is presenting €12,000 to its partner in philanthropy, Plan International Germany. Donated on behalf of its workforce and customers, these funds will support a development project in Ecuador.
Youngsters, and girls especially, in ten communities in the Cotopaxi and Santa Elena regions stand to benefit from this initiative. It aims to impart business, digital, and soft skills that will help get them off to a better start in working life. The project also provides health services to mothers and children.
“Our unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact has inspired us to support this Plan International Germany project in Ecuador. We are proud to contribute to the organization’s ongoing – and successful – efforts to empower communities and foster sustainable development. Investing in meaningful initiatives like this is the greatest gift we can give,” says Vincotech CEO Eckart Seitter.
This is Vincotech’s second contribution to the project. The company had staged a virtual reality challenge at the PCIM Europe trade fair in May 2024 to raise funds for Plan International Germany. Fairgoers rose to the occasion. Vincotech and its partners rewarded their efforts by pledging €15,000 to upskill young Ecuadorians and furnish health services.
